Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening can be done at the clinic or at home, the two techniques give good results.
The clinical whitening is faster: a chair session followed by 3 days at home.
Whitening at home takes on average, 14 days.
Wearing the whitening trays at home can be done day or night for a period of 30 minutes to a few hours each day.
A previous oral examination is necessary to detect if cavities or other situations have to be fixed before teeth whitening.
A pregnant woman or a nursing mother can not have teeth whitening.
Whitening has no effect on veneers, composite fillings, crowns or bridges.
Do not smoke while whitening your teeth, since the peroxide contained in the whitening agent increases the risk of cancer due to smoking.
Some patients may experience temporary tooth sensitivity and/or gum irritation. These effects usually disappear a few days after the treatment.
Avoid eating colorful foods at least during the first week after the end of treatment (red wine, coffee, red sauce, …).
A beautiful smile that you deserve.
